It’s all in the prep. If the surface is 100% clean then it actually bonds into the plastic. The cleaner needs to be a clean rinse, no residue left behind. I love Marine Clean from POR-15, but this time I had a couple cans of Sprayway glass cleaner we use on our glass top kitchen stove and I watched a YouTube of a body shop using it on a fender right before painting. It’s a strong cleaner degreaser and dries very fast. I’ve had very good results with Duplicolor Vinyl & Fabric spray, even on trim outside the vehicle. I’m going to spray the rear bumper pad with it later after I’m done with the transmission swap.
