Hey guys did a quick search and didn’t see anything.

I’ve seen on Facebook groups but seeing if anyone has experience personally with it.

We just picked up our King Ranch, and noticed around the center console the “chrome” is bubbling and coming off, has anybody dealt with this what did you do?

Or did you take it and have it warranted?

My understanding is that the warranty doesn't cover it. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Ours is bubbling just in this part:

Edit: Just checked the Ford PremiumCare ESP booklet. Explicitly states the following:

The Ford Protect PremiumCARE extended service plan is so comprehensive, it’s easier to refer you to what isn’t covered – here are some examples: Other Components and Repairs – Fabric, liners, fasteners, carpets, dash pad, wiper blades, knobs, trim, upholstery, physical damage or cosmetic issues

Yep, that’s a little ridiculous luckily we still have our factory warranty. I’d imagine the bumper to bumper warranty for cover it.

If not, I’ll probably take it off and just repaint or have someone wrap it.

If you're in the first year, there's a pretty good chance it's covered, so long as you're still within the mileage limitations.

Hey, my 23 limited is at the dealer having this replaced under warranty right now. Almost looks it was shrink wrapped. Didn’t notice at first but now it’s an eye sore and makes the nice interior look cheap. Hopefully it doesn’t happen again but I live in Florida and the vehicle is parked outside so the hot summers probably have something to do with it. Currently at the dealer for that, the driver side front seat motor, and the hatch motor all needing replacement .

So ExpoXLT2010, you bought a new '24 King Ranch and the fake chrome on the console is peeling off? A new vehicle? Definitely take back to dealer and demand they fix it. Dealership should have noticed it and fixed it prior to selling. So should have you!
