I have recently bought 2019 Expedition XLT, My odometer shows 39000 KM. Ciyple of days ago I changed the engine oil and have done the engine flushing. Since then I have noticed change in the engine sound. It has grown louder. Is this a usual thing and temporary? Or is it something unusual.

You would think if you replace spent oil with fresh oil, the engine should quiet down some, specially the valves get quieter.

All I can think of is the catalytic converter and the exhaust. If gasoline cars do not get driven much and always short trips, the exhaust gets quieter. All you have to do is starting to long trip the car and use it more often and the exhaust will burn itself free again and the engine noise gets louder. I’ve got more of a leaded foot and give it all the beans she got. lol

It makes a lot of racket on cold start, give it a minute or two to settle down and kick over to port injectors. Once the high pressure DI injectors shut off it gets amazingly quiet.

Are you sure that you have the proper oil level?
Did you use approved oil of the correct grade?
Did the tech put the underbelly pan back on the vehicle?

What you may be experiencing is the effect of oxidative thickening of the old oil. This can sometimes reduce some sounds but it can make some sounds louder such as hydraulic lifters.

Make sure your oil fill cap is on and tight. These newer engines with turbos and such have a lot of internal noise.

Did you open the air box and check the air filter? Super easy to miss a catch on the air box when closing it. It will be louder with the air box not seated correctly and fully closed.

Definitely need more info from OP. A video would be great. Whether in miles or KM the distance isn't that much, unless that's how long the OCI was.
