Looks nice, but to complete the "Black Ops" mantra, I would have changed the lug nuts & center caps too, but that's just me, since I am in the process of getting some things together (wrap, rims, nuts ect) to do a chrome delete on my 011' EL, which has a white body with both black & chrome trim now, but afterwards will be just TWO colors....black & white :D

Well, due to some health issues, this project is on hold for the foreseeable future, but I already have some of the wrap material and some additional trim accessories, but most of the rims that I like are in the $2-3K range per set, so there is just no way I can justify spending that kind of $$ atm.....

After all the doctor's/hospital bills are paid up, then I'll get back to it :D

Yeah I can't stand chrome, especially the fake chrome that is plastic. I got the blackout package on my 23.

Yours looks great now!

If you find some black lugs you like please share them back here and tag me. I haven’t been able to find any I like. They all look like they are acid etched black or something. Maybe none exist that look powder coated, or maybe I haven’t found them yet. But your rise looks good. I have a very similar look.

Update to my project:

Bad news: Thursday nite I was driving home, and the crackhead in front of me decides to throw something out his window, which I did not see until it was too late, and of course it hit my left headlight assembly dead center & cracked the crap out of it....I was soooo mad I couldn't see straight......

Good news: Since I had already purchased new, blacked-out headlight assemblies for my update, but can't do it right now, my brother came over this morning & installed them for me, yee haw !

Check out the pics below & let me know what you think. And BTW, I got them from da Rock, and YES, I know da beast needs a bath, which it will get later today or tomorrow morning....:D

I did the chrome delete on my '23 SPP. I liked the stealth gloss black on Star White paint and the chrome trim
needed to conform. I used the 3M 2" tape and with time and care, completed the delete. While it being a small overall detail, I really like the look of the gloss black trim.

Being old-fashioned, I included gloss black racing stripe and door guards as well. Also, I had clear PPF installed on the gloss black pillars and running boards so it shines even when dirty.

My final touches were to either debadge or paint the chrome letters. However, after cruising through eBay, I found these plastic overlay letters. They come with adhesive tape installed on the inside of each letter. Each letter covered the chrome version perfectly. About $100 total to do the expedition, XLT, and MAX letters. Would definitely recommend.

What I don’t know is how well they come off. They’re super secure so I imagine it wouldn’t be easy, but I don’t plan on removing them anytime soon.

Figured I post the wrap I used for the chrome delete. This matches almost perfectly to the black paint, including the metallic/metal flake aspect. The company who makes this wrap is Hexis.
