ONLY during cold weather is the engine flooded on start. Push peddle to floor begins the starting process but need to pump peddle and floor peddle to get it up and running. Black/blue smoke lot's of exhaust fills the garage. Lots of condensation (puddle) blown out what must be an opening in the piping for condensation release and condensation out the tailpipe. After the startup challenges, runs like a top. Throughout the day it starts up without issue. Sit in the garage overnight back to flooded start. As the weather warms into summer - starts right up with a very very brief period of rough engine before it smooths out.

ECT seems fine as the engine temp is displayed on dash
Replaced MAF this summer, but still starts with VERY brief engine roughness at startup
Don't know how it will behave this winter with the new MAF, but I am not expecting much of a change

What else should be considered to find root cause? Many Thanks!

Now that the MT temps are falling the car starting is rough and likely progresses to flooded engine requiring pushing the pedal to the floor to get it started. Any thoughts would be appreciated....clearly a temperature related issue/sensor casing too much fuel to be loaded when it's cold
