I'm interested in disabling the auto start/stop "feature" on my 2025 Expedition Tremor. Preferably someone in this forum has successfully disabled it with Forscan and can provide a detailed explanation of the settings they modified. Please don't comment anything like "why don't you just hit the button." This post is not for you. If you did not or don't plan to use Forscan to disable this feature, please move along.

I already modified PSCM 730-03-01 to XXXX XXXX 00-- and it's still stopping and starting. As a side note, I did successfully disable the seatbelt reminders, so I know I'm applying the changes properly.

Thanks for any relevant input you all can provide!

If you disable the BMS with forscan it will disable the auto start stop. But you’ll also get an error light on dash.
I don’t think anyone in ‘22+ was able to do it to Expy with forscan alone. If they have I haven’t found it.

Hi there, I’m working on the auto start/stop disable through Forscan as well. A little background, I had a 2019 F150 that I used Forscan to modify several items.

If you haven’t yet, search Livinitup on the F150 forums, he has links(on the Forscan tutorials) to multiple years, vehicles, with spreadsheets, etc.

From the 2024 Expedition sheet it reads PSCM 730-03-01 xxxx-xxxx-x*- - 0=disable 1=enabled, (angle inhibit enabled) 2=enabled(angle inhibit disabled) .

It would be fantastic if forum members would contribute to mods/changes for the 5th generation Expeditions, perhaps it isn’t much different from the 4th?
So much of this is shared among multiple vehicles and model years, in addition to all the other forums. It’s best to have master sheet if possible.

I just disabled mine on my Tremor with forscan. You don't need to go into the "as built" settings. I was able to disable it in the normal settings. You have to disable it on several modules. I don't remember exactly which modules as I just found it by opening each one, but just open each one that can be programmed and look through the list. You will see start/stop and want to disable all of them. It takes it completely off the screen.

Please consider you might be voiding the warranty on your vehicle. If you have any electrical problems and you take it back in while it’s under warranty, you might get a hefty repair bill because you modified Ford original design of the vehicle. If the dealer makes the modifications, then you can hold them responsible for any electrical defects while under warranty. Just a note of caution.

You are all over the internet, in all of the forums and Facebook groups talking about how you disabled auto start/stop, but offering basically zero specifics on how you did it. It's you and one other guy who say,

"I shut it off with Forscan!"
Everyone asks, "How specifically?"
Your response, "I forgot."

I can't express how obnoxious this is and frankly I doubt either one of you actually did it. You are a menace to our society.

Although I don’t care about the warranty vis-à-vis forscan…..it most certainly WILL be an issue if you go to dealer with related problems.

I again suggest everybody read the Magnuson Moss Act as it applies to warranties.

I'm violating my own forum ethics by posting this here (since this thread is specifically created to address the Forscan option), but I did see a start/stop eliminator pop up recently. Unfortunately, it's out of stock.

An internet search using disabling Ford stop start with forscan will give you the information.
Uh no. And nearly everybody gets codes or errors. All that being said…..it ain’t a thing that anybody has been able to do on a 25’, let alone error free.

Prove it. Do your Internet search, apply what you learned, and report back. Needless to say, I disagree with you, but I'd love to be proven wrong.
Wow, so basically you, a newbie to the forum who has not read the rules, don't want to search for how to do it, but rather ask then insult if someone doesn't post it so you don't have to waste your time searching for it? And you post insulting pics?
If I was a moderator, I would give you a warning.
To his defense, I don't remember half the mods I have done on my Ford vehicles and have to research them again.

Auto Start/Stop can be done, but I'm not sure about 2024 and 2025 models. I have done it several times, but it is NOT advisable, due to negatives, so I purposely don't post how to disable it. It is very easily searchable on the net and several Ford forums have it and many mods posted.

Using Forscan, Sync3 and Fmods, I've done:
disclaimer: Know the risks before attempting to mod anything. Erratic behavior, warning lights, disabled items, risking bricking the system, loss of or improper working features. It's safer to use as built mode, as they will work in most cases.
First backup your system or risk being locked out or bricked, if you make a mistake.
Bambi Mode, (my Plat already had high/low beams factory set to on in high beam mode. Now all 3 are on)
Auto Start/Stop disabled
Added temps on engine and transmission gauges
changed blinker amount
turned off tones
changed traction control default from on to off
added seat a/c and heat to home screen
Added distance warning system in bottom center of info screen.
Set parking lights with halos for running lights
Changed screen logo to Performance
backup mirror mode
and more, but forgot.
Other mods are available, but are defaulted on my Plat model, so I left them alone.
Updated Sync3 firmware and maps to latest available for my vehicle
Add GPS and maps to vehicle that has it deactivated

I have not insulted anyone. As the OP, I'm clarifying what I meant by "relevant input." To that point, your input here as someone with zero experience with Forscan on 5th Gen vehicles is irrelevant. As a veteran of this forum, you should know that forums can easily become a cesspool of misinformation and unhelpful speculation. I think you created your "NEW version of FORScan" post in good spirit, but you drove outside your lane when you discredited the hours of effort others like me have put in (using version 2.3.66, which was released in May, 2025) by falsely claiming it was "easy." This is not Sync 3. We're trying to problem solve here. Please stop derailing our effort.

These aren't your quotes? And you didn't post a pig pick, and you aren't argumentative and insulting?

Also, there in NOT much ForScan info for the 2024 and 2025. So, it's all experimental trial and error for those who are willing to be a beta tester. That's why it is important to use the as built section only. Manually changing codes that work on a 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 or 2023 may brick the system or at least cause a malfunction or error on a 2024 or 2025. So, it's best to either not experiment or at least backup in the beginning, then perform one mod at a time, and if successful, backup again.
And to clear up the question about warranty: Ford and the dealerships may not be too concerned about simple mods like signal amount, lighting, etc., but may void the warranty for other mods. I recently took my Ex in for a TSB that was covered by warranty. I was lucky I personally know the service manager, because he informed me a couple of my mods, like BMS, tranny, etc. voided my warranty, but he wasn't going to do anything about it. He suggested I flash back to my saved factory before I bring it in next time or I may not be so lucky. He also told me they can see every mod and the date it was done, but the chances they will look at the history is slim.
