So, my expedition is a 2009 and apparently has an original PCM flash on it. I believe I'm getting got by an old TSB, 12-4-11. Every once in a while out of nowhere the truck will throw a CEL with P0130 and P0150, circuit codes for both O2S. The TSB says to just update it to the latest calibration, but how do I as an end user do that? The only things I've found so far say you need Ford IDS and their hardware to do it, and I get mixed answers on whether or not Forscan with the extended license is capable of it, let alone where to find these files and make sure they're correct. There's no running problems and it happens very infrequently, so if it's more trouble than it's worth...

Have a '09 @ '07, when strange things happen as they do, I disconnect the battery. Even problems with the HVAC system can be corrected. Start with simple stuff first, hope it works for you.

It's easy enough to reset the code, and now that I've done it it probably won't come back for a long while now, IDK exactly what triggers it besides just a software bug in the current flash.

Forscan w/extended lic will allow flashing new firmware. But as anything like it, its risky...........

The code hasn't come back, it's very rare it comes in and since it's a known TSB I'm not losing sleep over it. The problem is, really, I never found a source for the firmware. Seems like PCM firmware is something only dealerships can get their hands on?
