Does the 302 Limited have 400hp or 375 for 2019?

I've seen some references to the 302 limited having the 400hp version that the Platinum has? Can anyone confirm or deny that?

That's actually an open question and it applies to the 2018s as well. Careful readers have noted that the power ratings in the marketing materials have fine print where the 375hp number (for XLTs and LTDs) is achieved with 87 Octane while the 400hp number (for the Plat) is achieved with 93 Octane. And yet page 184 and 185 of the owners manual says that the engine is rated on 87 Octane but that you should use 93 Octane when higher performance is required; like when towing. Putting two and two together, it's highly likely that all of us have the 400hp engines, provided we use 93 octane...

I thought I’ve read all fords crank power ratings are done on high octane already though. So there may actually be a difference.

On the one hand, JExpedition07 thought he read something somewhere.

On the other hand, page 15 of the 2018 brochure under "Powertrains..." contains power and torque output for the "3.5L EcoBoost V6". There are no footnotes. The same page contains power and torque output for the "3.5L EcoBoost V6 Platinum Series", to each of which is applied footnote 4. Footnote 4 is as follows: "4Horsepower[sic] and torque ratings achieved with 93-octane fuel." Page 185 of version 3 of the 2018 Expedition owners manual states: "For best overall vehicle and engine performance, premium fuel with an octane rating of 91 or higher is recommended. The performance gained by using premium fuel is most noticeable in hot weather as well as other conditions, for example when towing a trailer. See Towing (page 274)."

I know which one I think is more likely to be correct...

Yeah I read that too. The Platinum has the 25 extra horsepower, all the turbo 3.5's run on the 91 octane to eek out the horsepower. They'll run on the 89, or 87, but not as well, not like the older 5.4.
