Thanks for the pics.. I was a little confused by the dash kit illustration as to what exactly needed to be removed. I'm guessing a Dremel tool will work on this job pretty well.

That’s what I used.

It took about 5 min to cut out the slopping piece of plastic preventing the stereo from being fully seated.

I'm about to undertake a similar modification (head unit, door speakers, small sub/amp) to my 01 Expedition XLT. Can you explain more about the ebrake bypass that you wired in for the backup cam?

Hi

To be honest I did not do the part I took it to a stereo shop.

Installing the new deck wasn’t hard but I did not want to screw up installing the reverse camera.

Sorry about that.

I am away for work for two weeks but when I get back I will look under the steering console and see what wires were tapped.
