No not at all. I would say since the 3.5 Ecoboost engine debuted in 2011 F150’s that there is an overwhelming majority without cam phaser issues.

You are probably right but every time I pull a carfax on a used expedition from 2017 and newer it looks like they all have had cam-phaser work done at the dealer.

Cam phasers are only an "issue" on the 4th gen trucks. Third gens didn't have that problem.

My 18 expy made to 36k miles before I turned her in, no issues with the engine whatsoever as well.

Cam phasers are only an "issue" on the 4th gen trucks. Third gens didn't have that problem.
I actually had the cam phasers repaired on my 2015 but no problems so far on my 2020 (20,000 miles) and now my 2021 (21,000 miles).

I had a '13 F150 that had no problems. Son in law also had a '13 F150 with no problems. I now have a '21 Expedition with no problems so I think a great poetion of them on the road have had no problems.
