How many hours did you put into the tensioners, guides and pump? You don't catch a break, do you?
I did it in 18 hours with no problems and you had tons of problems plus you took a lot more apart so there is no way you could have done that in 20 hours.I’d guess 15-20 hours if I threw a random number out since I had to do it twice after a mistake. It was doable just relatively difficult/ time consuming.
Looks like the biggest difference is the new pump has blind/closed holes for the bolts that hold the plate on the other side. It does have a plate of sorts on the opposite side that holds the guts in correct? The blind holes can’t leak around the threads and lose pressure.....Maybe????Cleaned up my old oil pump (Now a trophy) and found Ford updated the new one. There are various differences between Fords 2007 and 2020 built 3V pumps when I compared pics. Wonder if it’s just casting differences or if internal changes were made.
