Hello All,
I have a 2010 Expedition EL Limited with nearly 260,000 miles. It has developed a rough idle that has gotten worse to the point where the engine will shut off. I took off and cleaned the throttle body which was dirty. I thought next to clean the EGR valve, but can't seem to find it. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but does this particular generation not have a EGR valve?
The mass air sensor looked really clean, and all intake hoses were securely tightened after cleaning the throttle body. The timing assembly was replaced about a year ago along with the VVT solenoids, although I've heard those can go bad.
I put in a bottle of Seafoam high mileage engine treatment, and will be replacing the fuel filter today. Other than that, I'm out of ideas, but am still wondering about the EGR valve.
Thanks for the help!
