I had been getting the electronic brake malfunction message in my dash for months (also had no cruise control), finally had it diagnosed, was advised that the two are linked. When brakes aren't working correctly, the car will disable cruise since brakes are the shutoff for cruise control.
So I have replaced the caliper and the motor on this wheel. All seems well. Brakes work, and e-brakes work too. Except, I am still getting this message and cruise control is still greyed out in my options list.
Why might I still have this message? And, is it possible it just needs to be cleared?
