Hello everyone! New EX owner here. Purchased from Gila River Police, my 2011 runs great! So far everything works well. I replaced the stock radio with a carplay type recommended from a thread on this forum. My question is this: The factory interior lights don't come on when the door is opened, which I understand is done at the factory. Can the forscan program re-enable the feature and if so, how do I go about that? I do own the full version of forscan.

It can be done, but not necessarily for all SSVs. I had a 2011 that I got from Thatcher Police myself which worked great. The interior lights didn't work either. Turned out the light switch for it was turned off. There's a rotary dial in the dash that also adjusts the dash brightness. Check that. Once I turned it on, then I had an intermittent issue with the interior lights that was caused by a faulty driver side door switch. That fixed the problem for me.

Use FORScan, connect to the BCM and disable the dark car setting. Also pull the cover on the light and make sure the bulb is in place, is good and one of the wire leads in the housing that contacts the bulb hasnt been damaged or modified to prevent the bulb from working.

Does it actually say "Dark Car" of is it under some weird abbreviation?
