OK somebody raised the max psi on some tires, still nothing to do with towing.

Merely two personal examples to rebut your claim that 51psi maximum tire pressure means I had LT tires on my Expedition 'cuz no P-metric tire can have that max pressure. Turns out I have them on my S2000 as well.

You already said that. Either it's a coincidence the C rated LT tires have exactly 51 psi max pressure or the makers of P rated ones are trying to match it.

lol @ saying P rated tires for the Expy are stretched to the max. I’ve never seen a car with 255/70 tires. Love my Michelin LTX MS/2s, they do just fine and are P rated.

That's what came on my new '07 and they seem to be nice tires...……..I don't tow though.

They are a solid tire with great reviews. These cost me more than the LT tires I originally ordered.

I was glad to see those LTX tires on it when I bought it a month ago but now I have winter tires on some Boss chrome wheels that I got all for $70 locally. I put Nokian Nordman 7 studded SUV 275/60r20 tires on them (one size larger than the LTX's that came with it). I do tow my snowmobile but it doesn't know it's back there.

So, I've been trying to figure out what rating my Michelan MTX tires are? It doesn't seem to say "P" rated or anything like that anywhere. I'm assuming because their max inflation is 42psi that is what they are?

Yes, the lowest LT max pressure is 41 psi for the C rated, 65 for the D, and 80 for the E rated.

Defender LTX tires are light truck tires.

I don't see the max pressure notation on the tires but my eyes ain't that good.
