Measured the battery voltages on my two Expys last night. The 2003 (drive every couple few days) was 12.35. The 2014 (drive every couple few weeks) was 12.1. That level is too low IMHO. So, I put the battery tender on it to apply some rotation to her sugar plum. This morning it's still chugging away so I would say it's obviously a few electrons short of a 12 pack. Need to drive the sulfate back into the acid. Looks like I need to charge it up every month or so if it's not gonna be driven.
Gonna keep it on the road too. I can save $50/month to suspend the insurance. No thanks.
update: let it cook with battery tender for 36 hours, brought it up to 12.8V ... i'm sure after resting that will drop back down to a more normal level
update: let it sit for 2 days ... battery voltage now a nice 12.4 steady!
