I have a 2005 F150 engine skid plate installed on my 03 Navigator. Only had to drill one hole in the skid plate to bolt it on. I had it on my 06 for at least 10 years before we wrecked it in July. I disassembled the 06 and saved just about everything. The engine is not installed in this picture. It will go in next week.

That's good to know. Certainly does provide some protection for the power steering lines and such on the cross member.

I would love the opportunity to strip and save parts from an Exp/Nav. Sadly that opportunity usually comes from an unfortunate situation. I have done this with 2 GM W-body Monte Carlo's and the parts sure do come in handy.

Man a lift, maybe someday :) . Laying on my back is getting harder and harder.

Thank you very much for this post. It was been a pain trying to find skids for my 05 expy, as the only front skid I could find was on ebay for $250 + $380 shipping. So picked up one of these F150 skids for $115 on fordpartsgiant.com and will get it installed this week.
