I always thought if fuel or oil is getting past piston rings, your engine is going or is bad? I think the turbo motors, wash the cylinders with fuel, from running rich(fuel in oil). Compressed air absorbs moisture. In cool weather, your motor is ingesting more moisture and turns into a watery/oily whitish slime. Check the bottom of your oil cap in the winter. Was it turbocharged or blown? Forced induction always pushes more stuff past the rings than naturally aspirated motors.
