Was it turbocharged or blown? Forced induction always pushes more stuff past the rings than naturally aspirated motors.

I always thought if fuel or oil is getting past piston rings, your engine is going or is bad? I think the turbo motors, wash the cylinders with fuel, from running rich(fuel in oil). Compressed air absorbs moisture. In cool weather, your motor is ingesting more moisture and turns into a watery/oily whitish slime. Check the bottom of your oil cap in the winter.

Forced induction either turbo or supercharged always force more fuel into the crankcase. I change engine oil and filter every 3K no matter the platform gas or diesel. The '85 Mustang GT every 2K max. The direct injection engines like the Ecoboost benefit from a catch can as do all emission controlled PCV engines.
