Guys I just wanted to share this. I ended having the center console get scratched badly just from general use by the wife / kids, and the mass of cups or other things that end up filling the cup-holders and sitting on the center console as most busy families do when shuffling kids around.

At the time, I simply removed the chipping peeling paint with my fingernail and some rubbing alcohol, but later on when refinishing some trim panels on another vehicle I own, I found some paint that would have been perfect as a replacement on my expedition that I figured might be helpful to some of you guys out there.

Please ignore the vehicle itself, the concept and parts and supplies apply to any car with this issue, which seems to be more and more vehicles i'm seeing these days.

The short of it is, SEM Trim paint (39143 Trim Black). They DO have other colors besides black (silver), just wanted to share because this stuff is pretty awesome and has a factory finish look and exceeded my expectations. I was simply thinking it was going to be nothing more than cheap spray paint but was wrong. I'm not affiliated with SEM in any way, just sharing a helpful tip.
