Forscan on MacBook Pro running Windows Bootcamp or Parallels?

Not recommended by FORSCAN or any of us really. The hardware handoff for the USB has caused issues in the past for others. I do Tech for a living, not coming at this from an uneducated perspective. I use Parallels on my MBAir, and Fusion also on my Mini. I use a Windows laptop for FORSCAN and FDRS. It is older, and relatively basic, and it is all you need. Heck the $349 special at best buy will do a GREAT job.

Heck, here is one for $229.


Less risk of damaging a $1000+ device working with it in your car.

Bootcamp, because then your computer is a real Windows PC. I've never gotten the hardware to work from macOS with Fusion or WINE.
