Been searching for weeks now about this item. Autozone doesn't have anything listed. Nor does O'rilley's. Even Ford's Part Fiche doesn't list a part or part number for a front differential gasket. Searching this forum in the 3rd gen section yielded no results about this specifically. I'm really scratching my head on this one.

Anyone know if there's an actual gasket and part number for the front differential cover? This is for a 2012 XL 4wd. If there's no gasket, that means I'd have to use a "liquid gasket" product? I hate those and prefer to not go that route if I don't have to.

Autozone mentioned that the front differential cover gasket was the same as the rear but I can't even find it on the part fiche so I don't trust that assertion at all. TIA!

Your Expedition has a 9.75 rear axle and 8.8 front axle. Contrary to what AutoZone would have you believe, the covers and gaskets are not interchangeable.

For the front diff cover and gasket, it is the same as most other 8.8 axles. So if you looked up a diff cover gasket for a RWD 8.8-equipped car (for instance, a Lincoln Town Car) it will also fit your front axle.

I'd like to pull my front cover to get a good oil change and wanted a gasket too. Ford only specifies a silicone sealant. WSS-M4G323-A8. If you found a gasket that works could you post the part number. I have a 2019.
