I have a 2007 ford expedition and I am replacing the stock speakers. The front door speakers have 2 harness plug/pig tails. I was wondering what the second pig tail is. Does one of the pig tails supply power?

I just opened the front driver's door the other day and was wondering the same thing. No clue what the second is for, yet. But, I'm planning to upgrade the audio in my wife's Expy soon. So, I'll circle back with anything I learn from my efforts.

I know this is an old post, but did you figure out how to get the stock tweeters to work with aftermarket door speakers?

they are likely all tuned, and you'd be better off getting replacement component speakers that have their own crossover and tweeters. I put these in my '02 F250, https://www.jlaudio.com/products/c2-650-car-audio-speakers-c2-speaker-systems-99617 ... They sounded great when driven by an adequately powerful amplifier (Alpine iLX-W650 head unit with a KTA-450 'powerstack' amp that fits on the back of the stereo and gets you 100W x 4).

that circuit board on the bottom of the picture of the speaker is the crossover, and the top plug goes to the tweeter. the right side plug is from the radio/amplifier and the crossover is wired in parallel across the main speaker.
