Got a question on an 04 eddie bauer

When the second row seats are down there is a space between them that is lower. For the folks that have filled that space.....what have you used. I'm looking for something removable and semi hard......what have you folks done and or used

I just use towels or blankets which is enough for dogs to walk on and ensure they can't fall in. When I used an air mattress in the back and wanted it even flatter than the towels I put a 24"x48" sheet of luan.
