Yup. Pull the starter and check the teeth.
Think it is bad now wait till the teeth actually go and keep your fingers crossed the teeth on the starter side go.
Mine went on my Explorer and man that was a heck of a racket. Thankfully it was in my driveway.

Try this one - sound is near the end.


If that is the sound, the starter should be removed so the flex plate teeth and starter drive teeth can be inspected for damage.
