I have a 04 eddie bauer expedition. When I turn on the headlamps the radio gets bad static, only when the headlights are turned on, if I only turn on the parking lights it is ok. I've only had the vehicle a short time. I've read that it may be the led headlamp bulbs that are used. I have no idea what is in there........so What bulb is the factory correct bulb to use. I guess it is 9005 and 9006.....but what did the factory put in led or halogen....I'm confused and if anyone else had any ideas speak up.

The factory uses the halogen bulbs. Cheap LEDs will cause static in some vehicles.
( They also present a terrible beam pattern and blind oncoming traffic )
You are correct 9006 for low beams and 9005 for high beams.

If I were here, you would know it !
AFAIK, LED headlights were only introduced in the more recent models, although I'm not sure exactly when ('14? ), but I know my '011 EL came with OEM Halogens, which I quickly replaced with aftermarket LEDS (low, high, turn, fog, puddle, brake, 3rd) 2 yrs ago while I was replacing all of the original assemblies, as they were scratched/yellowing/hazy...and I haven't had any static from them at all.....

However, I know on my '09 Impala, the LED replacements came with an electronic module attached that prevented the interference as well as any errors in the canbus circuits, which was an issue back then.....maybe that's the kind of LED's that you need ?
