I have a 2012 xlt el expedition and have a question on the headlight functionality. When the high beams are engaged, are the low beams and the fog lights supposed to turn off? I feel like when I am using my high beams, I sacrifice my up-close visibility. My 2016 explorer does not disable my low beams when I engage my high beams. Could I have a bad headlight switch, or is that how the headlights are supposed to function on my particular model?

I used Forscan to activate 'Bambi Mode' so that I could leave the fog-lights on when high beams are activated. Really helps on very dark roads with critters lurking on the shoulders.

Yea, but I don't know if Forscan works on older/3rd gens....

Seems IIRC, when I fist joined the forums & read about it, I looked it up & could not find anything that said it was compatible with my '011....
