Need Help 2006 5.4 3v Triton

2006 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer original owner and oil and tranny service by local Ford Dealer. Last year truck not used much but started to again last few months. 132k miles. Plugs replaced by Ford at 98k. Yep 4 broke. I replaced coils last year.

Time for sticker and check engine on. Autozone shows P0451. I replace gas cap. Still on. My buddy unhooks the fuel tank pressure sensor. I get my sticker of course CE light back on.

I have not replaced the FTPS yet.

Been driving it alot lately all short distances under 2 miles.

Engine runs rough at start up then settles. I notice gas smell rear of truck. I assume its the FTPS. Truck hesitates at take off will smooth out once I get going. Will rum rough at red light unless I put in neautral. I will get a horrible shudder at 40mph under 1 to 2k rpm. Wont shudder if i get on it an get past 2k rpm and wont shudder if i take overdrive off.

Had a mechanic do a scan. YIKES.

Attached a screen shot of the codes.

I did replace the MAF seemed better at first then went back rough but not hesitating as much at take off.

What should I scan next to diagnose the issue or issues?

Thank you.

I suggest that you may have multiple problems. I would start by looking for a vacuum leak as that could cause the multiple cylinder misfires. Not always easy to find, but tends to be fairly low cost to repair.

You might here a whistling under the hood from a leaky vacuum hose. There are multiple dangerous methods of finding vacuum leaks, I've used them, but I don't recommend it. A smoke machine will usually make finding a vacuum leak pretty easy. Smoke machines are easy to operate and not terribly expensive. I even made my own for less than $10 from a big mason jar, bottle of baby(mineral) oil, stick style soldering iron, some old socks and a pair of air hose connectors(1 for air in and 1 out).

There's a link to a smoke machine and some additional info in this thread:

Multiple misfire codes and it still runs, consider yourself lucky. When this happened to me it meant the timing chain had skipped due to a bad phaser and engine was toast

Only indication I had prior to breakdown was a rattling sound from the passenger side of the engine which I thought was from the alternator as it ran fine. Then one day while driving I swerved to avoid some road debris, lost power and was unable to accelerate over 50, then 30 before shutting down and was unable to start again.

I ran codes and got those same misfire codes. Don’t want to worry you but that was my experience. You may be lucky and it’s just a vacuum leak or bad VCT solenoid($50 part and easy to replace).

I had the same mileage 131k. Apparently the timing chains needs to be replaced every 100k because of either bad lubrication or just poor design.

The misfires are all on one side of the engine. That side also has the coolant hoses above it, which can leak and cause misfires. Do you see any signs of coolant or moisture in the spark plug wells or on the coil boots?

Change the coils to the other side and see if the misfires follow. If that doesn't change anything, then move the plugs from one side to the other.

You can use a noid light to confirm that each injector is getting a firing signal. Or you can remove the injectors, one at a time, and see if they spray fuel.

Also inspect the plugs for each injector and coil. The rubber sealing ring on my plugs were falling apart which made reconnecting them suspect. I replaced all of the connectors for all 8 injectors and all 8 coils over the past couple of years on my '07.

Failing that, a compression test on each cylinder can help identify if the timing has slipped.
