About a year ago I replaced a section of metal AC line going to the rear AC unit. It worked up until recently when the same rubbing against the frame has caused the repair to now fail also. So now I am looking at the same problem again. I have identified several options:
1. Try to patch repair somehow. JBWeld?
2. Do the same fix again and hope for better.
3. Replace the entire line with OEM lines.
4. Replace the entire line with aftermarket flexible tubing.
5. Cap the rear AC line and just live off the front.
The first repair was an expletive-filled event that I hope to avoid doing again, however if someone has a way to make it work then I'm happy to listen.
If replacing, I prefer to use the flexible tubing over the metal tubing, however I can't seem to find the tubing anywhere. Any ideas?
Finally, I'm willing to cap if necessary, but I plan to sell it in a couple years and would like for everything to work properly.
Opinions or ideas? Thanks.

Sorry no picture. The leak is right where the line makes the turn from going downward from the engine compartment to leveling off to make the run to the rear of the vehicle -- it's a curved area.

That's exactly where I had my leak. The high pressure line rubbed against the frame (the thinner one)

I patched it with JB weld, and then i used zip ties to tie the high pressure line back away from the frame, towards the low pressure line. This kept it away from the frame.

The lines rub because the body mounts start wearing out. I tied the lines back and it doesn't seem to rubbing anywhere, but I plan to replace the body mount for that side, just so i don't run into that problem again.

JB Weld will work, but make sure you clean the area off extremely well. Use some Scotch-brite. JB weld has held up for two years on my rear line......still works.
