Help! Tow Haul Button broke off

Hi, y'all. Strange situation. My tow/haul button broke off of my '16 Expy. You know...down by your thumb on the shifter. Kinda looks like the plastic cracked, or whatever, but I have the button no longer attached to the shifter. My questions are, how do I replace this? Is it a separate switch or part of the shifter in general. Has anyone taken the shifter apart (removed the two padded sides exposing the guts of the shifter? Is this something I can do? Please let me know if you have insights OR have done this job before. Thanks!

i have the same issue with our 2017. we dont tow much with it but would rather fix it incase the need or want arises. did you ever fix the tow haul button? if so, where did you find the button.

I’m curious how you wound up fixing this. Mine broke too, and I can’t find part nor any information on how to repair it.
