I have an 03 EB with an aftermarket stereo with factory speakers and sub. I'm trying to set the hpf and lpf for speakers and subs. Not really sure about the gain and slope I have hpf and lpf set at 70 hz.

I have my front HPF at 100, rear HPF at 120 and sub set to through since the LPF is handled by the amp. The slope I have set at 12, gain is 0. However, I gave up on the factory speakers in my 2004 many years ago. Currently I have a fully custom sound system.

For my settings I found I was unable to use what others had. Each vehicle and the components installed are different for each. So the settings have to be custom for your system and your preference. I just did a bit of research on what each setting does and then kept messing with the settings until I got what sounded right to me. Aside from the EQ settings, the time delay made the biggest difference in sound quality.

I set the crossover point for front door speakers at 60hz (JBL gto939) and the same for the rear doors (JBL 609c). I set the sub crossover point at 80 hz with a 24db slope. Currently I have 2 JBL stadium 12 inch subs and set subsonic at 20hz.

The JBL Stadium series are really nice speakers. I've got JBL GTO860C front and GTO860 rear. I wish I had gotten the GTO860C for the rear as well. I really like having the tweeters right below the windows. Man a pair of 12" subs would be sweet, I was itching for a single 12". Ultimately I was stuck with a single 10" in a custom ~.95cu ft sealed fiberglass enclosure that fits where the factory 8" plastic box was. I couldn't afford to loose any interior space and I wanted as little visible as possible.

I kept thinking my HOF and LPF settings were not as I had noted from my spreadsheet. Here's an update to my previous post after checking my head unit and amp.
HPF front is 90
Slope is -12DB
Gain is 0

HPF rear is 100
Slope is -12DB
Gain is 0

LPF on the sub is ~90, it's just a dial.
Slope is fixed at 24DB.
