I went to the car wash yesterday. When I returned home I could not remove the ignition key. It seems stuck. It won't turn back far enough to release. I wanted to try here before internet searching. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it's going into park. At least enough it's not rolling when in park on the indicator.

Not sure about the ziptie method as a fix… Just wanted to show you the most likely culprit more clearly. That switch becomes opened/ closed depending on shifter position. Don’t want it always closed.

I have that problem from time to time. Mines was the steering wheel locking. Had to turn the wheel side to side pretty hard until I got the key to release.

When it happened to me, I had a can of WD40 handy, it worked.
