First time posting here. Why do I hear a high pitched noise from the rear of my 2019 ford expedition when I park it and turn it off?
It's the second time this has happened.

Might help to upload an audio clip somewhere so folks can hear it.

A clip would help, but I've noticed on a few of these over the years that the fuel pump will sometimes do a self prime for a few seconds after shut down to prep the fuel lines for your next start. Will also do it when opening your door before starting.

I've also seen where the auxiliary water pump under the hood will whine for a bit too after shut down. Could be resonating towards the back possibly?

Something that slipped my mind is the parking brake actuators will whine and make noise after going in park if certain parameters are met IE putting the vehicle in park quickly after braking. Is your parking brake light on when this noise happens?

If the noise lasts for 3 seconds or so and stops I put money on the rear parking brake being the noise you are hearing. And it's totally normal.

But even the parking brake sets and then is done in 2-3 seconds, at least on my 2020.
