how to move a thread

I've asked the admins, but they haven't answered.
I want to move a thread from one forum to another. how can I do this?

workaround
create a new thread in destination forum and paste a link to the one you want moved

I'd rather not. it's not worth it to me.
if the admins won't move it, I don't care enough to bother.
