Below are the instructions on how to remove the floor console on a 2000 Expedition. Should be the same for 97-02, though there's no guarantees. ;)

As always, I'm not responsible if you break anything. :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Position the front seat forward.

2. Remove the two front floor console rear bolts.

I know this thread is 10 years old but I got sick of everything I laid on the seat falling on to the back floor with the split bench that came in my 99.

So I pulled a mint matching bucket seat and center console. I have a feeling I'll need to go back and get the center console bracket.

Big question. Two of the seat anchors line up from what I've seen prior to removing old seat. One in front and one in back....both on right side of floor/passenger side. Are there redundant captive or female points to attach the bolt pattern from a different seat...and if not can i just drill holes and bolt the other two down...assuming nothing critical under floor?

Captive nuts were in floor, I had the presence to take the bracket with me first time...so smart I had forgotten.

Very easy swap, the old bench seat was a PITA, this is like a new truck...w 8 cup holders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
