2012 Expedition EL-XLT (220k mi): Had issues this summer with the AC, recharged it in August and worked mostly fine till now. Just replaced the blower resistor after the fan only worked on blast and was back in business again. But no, that was too easy. An hour after success i found that the cabin temp adjusts to only very cold or very hot & no in-between.
I never had the infamous clicking sound but everything I read and watch says it's the air door actuator. No forum threads match my exact issue that I can find. PLEASE HELP before I trade this thing in for another Suburban.

Edit: also, I am so confused by the location as my model does not have dual front climate controls, only front cabin and rear cabin. Is the front actuator control behind the radio or behind the gas pedal!?!?!?

I have #3 failed below and it only clicks randomly. It may not click for 2 months and then it will click a few day then another month ... Anyway, my temps always blow hottest/coldest.

Locations of the various blend doors from one of my previous posts:

(1) defrost/panel/floor mode door actuator: can be accessed from underneath the LH side of the instrument panel.
(2) Mode Door Actuator — Air Inlet Door: RH lower instrument panel
(3) Temperature Blend Door Actuator — LH: this is the nightmare one discussed in the video (essentially at the bottom of the center stack)
(4) Temperature Blend Door Actuator — RH: behind the stereo
(5) Auxiliary Mode Door Actuator: RH rear quarter trim panel
(6) Auxiliary Temperature Blend Door Actuator: RH rear quarter trim panel

Thanks for the breakdown. Any chance you have recommendation for a good DIY video already out there?
