I Made A Utility Box for My EL

Title says it all, I got a 2015 EL specifically for work. Once I got it I wanted to build a removable box in the pack so the truck could still be used as a regular vehicle.

The front flips in half and then up and tucks into the box so I’m still able to use my middle seats.

The light colored wood part are slides that I can pull out and slide back in when necessary to protect the door panels.

Looks good but I think you are really choking off the rear HVAC system. You might want to put some grill work there to let air in and out for your own comfort and to prevent damage to the system.

Also while you are at it, add some tie down points for your cargo as well as the floor itself to the body.

Looks very well thought out. Not sure about carpet covering. Seems like that would collect dirt and stuff.

Oh dang, that looks nice! If you've got no passengers, you don't really have to worry about the rear HVAC, but yeah, cargo tie-downs would make this darn near perfect!

Very nice! I also purchased my 2013 EL specifically for work. I do remodeling and prefer an SUV over a pickup truck. I just put all my seats down and made a wood panel to cover the gap between the 2nd and 3rd row. Then put thin carpet down to protect al the factory carpets. I also set things up so I could put one or both seats up in the 2nd row if needed to haul my family. But I like what you did! Protects the sides better than what I did.
