I have a 2011 XLT 5.4 and I've been told that the IAT needs to be replaced. I bought the part but have no idea where the sensor is? or if i have the wrong thing completely? I checked behind the grill and all up the intake but I can only see the MAF sensor. Can someone please tell me if I’m just dumb or if it’s in a weird spot or what. Just bought this Expedition and is my first Ford.
This is the part I got

Do you have a DTC code from an OBDII readout ? Like a P0113 code or something ?
Have you lost your outside air temperature info from the message center ? 'Cause that's what that sensor in your post picture is for. If you're getting a DTC code saying your IAT sensor is malfunctioning, it's referring to the engine's and that is built into the MAF sensor. So you may need to replace the MAF sensor entirely.
