Is anyone actually running ICON?

I'm agonizing over 2 inch lift options for my 2015 EL, currently stock with Nivomats.

I want to actually improve my performance while lifting, so I guess its either a hybrid f150 front end, and rear spacers with 5100's all around (right?, tell me about this if you got it!), or 3x the money for a full ICON kit. but is anyone actually running the ICON kit?

I see one person with the front Icon setup, but that's about it. I'm obsessing over have great mixed surface performace, I'm not going to drop 6 grand on a kit with no real world testing.

Any reportable experiences out there? Thanks guys!

haha, yeah IMO doing an ICON suspension upgrade on a 10+ year old rig is a total joke unless you've got deep pockets and creating an off-road performance full-size hog of an SUV is your passion project (in which case you'd probably be more inclined to do this with a powerstroke excursion).

I've got a 2011 with a 2.5" lift and I was having some issues with it. So before I upgraded any suspension components I re-routed the IWE vacuum lines because those were getting smacked by the UCAs. When I was recently rebuilding the suspension with greaseable MOOG everything, I went with these cheap-o UCAs and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with them. They solved pretty much all the problems I was having. I have about 3k miles on them (highway, around-town and off-road) and they are holding up well so far! TBH, they aren't very much different geometrically from the stock UCA's but what's makes the difference is that the cylindrical housing where the ball joint sits allows them to vertically shift where the ball joint is mounted. So, though the ball joint's range of motion is similar to that of the stock ball joint, having that coupled with the vertical shift allows for different range of motion, not a larger range of motion. For my purposes, I couldn't care less, it delivers the results that I want at a sickeningly reduced cost.

BTW you may need wheel spacers afterwards. I already had them installed when I put the new UCAs in but before the spacers with stock UCAs I only had like 0.5"-0.25" of clearance between them and the tire. Also, after the new UCAs the wheel rub I was having (due to the 1.75" spacers) is almost gone. Now it only rubs a little on hard turns above ~10mph. I may still wind up doing the NorCal but I won't have to cut out nearly as much of the wheel well. It rubs so little that its taking forever to create a wear patch so I know what needs trimming.
