I've always kind of viewed NASCAR as only half a sport. Racing with only left turns on an oval course? It's like if baseball was just a pitcher and catcher, with no one trying to hit or field.

You got to give them a little credit. They are driving around for a long time unable to use the bathroom.... haha

Oh, I'm not saying there is no skill involved... it's just the least skilled form of racing. Like a running back who could run a 4.3 40 but breaks his ankle any time he tries to juke right :)

No, but I'll try not to knock on what other people like too much, just joking around.

I'm not gonna get into a war of wits with someone whose unarmed.... But there's a lot more to it than turning left. :chair:
200mph within a foot of each other for 2 to three hours. Pit strategies . G forces, etc. And it's not just the driver that makes the sport. The pit crews are incredible. Changing 4 tires, filling up with gas, making suspension and chasis adjustments all in under 13 seconds.....you can't say those guys are just turning left.
Plus they race road courses too.. They actually turn left and right there.
Any sport can be reduced to a silly sounding sentence.

I am more into drag racing but then they just give it gas and go straight! :)

Its easier for me to relate to drag racing because I have done it for years and know whats involved. Its also like nothing you have ever experienced before if you watch it in person. TV does it absolutely no justice. Watching top fuel or pro mods make a pass in person is something you will never forget.

I am sure nascar is the same.
