My Son was actually the motivation to get me to look for a newer version, since he had a higher one than me on his 2020.In that case, almost exactly the same beast. Early 4th gens actually have more in common with the SuperDuties module wise of that time than a 150.
Yep, More and more of Ford's team is focused on the Android based Sync.My Son was actually the motivation to get me to look for a newer version, since he had a higher one than me on his 2020.
Being in the tech business and the hobby of hacking PCs, jailbreaking/rooting phones and tablets for decades, it was logical to look for an update. Ford is still only offering version 3.0.23219 for free and 2022 maps for a fee, for my 2019 Expedition. Whereas Cyan is offering 3.4.23188 with U.S. maps 2.23 (2023 version).
Since the Ford website has not offered any update for almost a year, I'm assuming there is no longer any support for 2019 models.
I have it in one of my other non-Ford vehicles. It has some nice features. Mine included 3 years of free data, so I'm able to use apps, play music and use Google maps without having to connect my phone. I'm planning on getting a Lightning soon. Hopefully it will be available by then.Yep, More and more of Ford's team is focused on the Android based Sync.
So nothing really worth risking my Ford Sync 3 esp coverage going with Cyanlabs? Got it!Several usability and performance updates also.
Being a techie, every update is a good update. And it can be a tremendous update depending on how old your firmware is.So nothing really worth risking my Ford Sync 3 esp coverage going with Cyanlabs? Got it!![]()
