I have a 2019 Exp Max Limited. Taillight is out. Can I replace individual bulbs or LEDs or do I need a whole new assembly?

If the amber turn signal is out, you can replace the bulb. If any of the other parking/brake lamps have failed, you need a whole new housing. Unfortunately LED's are not serviceable.

It's been a while since I had mine apart, but I know you can change the backup lights to LEDs.

I have the tailight apart right now. My taillight bulb is good and the LED brick works, but the red light around the perimeter does not. I guess this is just another set of LED bulbs??

2019 factory LED tail lights, such as on a Limited, have no servicable components inside. I just looked them up to see what they will cost to replace, at Tasca Parts, they are just under $1000 each. KL1Z-13404-B (Right) or KL1Z-13405-B (Left) for 2019-2021. Fordparts suggested $1500 MSRP.

Thanks man. That’s the conclusion I came to after tinkering with it a bit. $1000 for a taillight is wild.

I don't know what they were thinking at Ford for these. "2019 factory LED tail lights, such as on a Limited, have no servicable components inside. So, what's all the labor???? Programming??

Also they don't know the root cause of why my taillight doesn't work. Water condensation sometimes but they can't find any corrosion. Just replace it? ANy aftermarket options?
