I am looking to hardwire a dash cam in my 4th gen. Ideally, I would love to find accessory or delayed accessory power in the overhead console that I could tap. But anywhere behind the glovebox would work too. I'd prefer not to deal with one of those add-a-circuit things if I can avoid it so I don't have to hack up the fuse panel cover.

Any one have a good spot to find power for this project?

So actually a fuse tap is your easiest option and you should never have to hack the dash or anything if you look and study it you should be able to find a spot where you can run the wire before the dash or door seal up to the windshield where you are mounting your dashcam. Let me know if you found an acc or ign circuit I am look to do the same thing in my 17 Expy
