Looking to buy a 2007-2014

I saw one I like with a blown motor. Can you fit a 2014 5.4 in a 2005? Or is 2009 the earliest year for that motor? I would like to get the 4v version in my truck if I can

For vehicles with an intact drivetrain, I've seen the list of possible issues to look at like the oil leaks and timing, anything new to add to the list these days?

Are there any remanufacturers who are better than others? Any who build an improved version of the motor?

I'm sure if you look up "Bullet Proof Triton 5.4" you will find some places that reman them with the improved parts.

Unless you *really* know what you're getting into (I didn't), I'd recommend staying away. When it's running properly it's a decent engine, however Ford made some cost saving decisions that turned it into a ticking timebomb.
