I have a 2001 with no air suspension and AWD. For the front I flipped the torsion bars from left to right and front to back. Used belltech drop shocks to accommodate the lowered suspension travel. The rear I used belltech 2" lowering springs without the spring isolators. I'm using airlift 1000 helper bags and Monroe air shocks. I tow my lightning with my expy. The 20" lightning replicas finishes it off aswell. Handles like night and day. I still have to remove and get shorter front bump stops.

Your truck looks sharp. Both in modification and condition.

Judging by my own '01, it appears that you've lowered it to an approximate kneeling/parked air ride height. I am sure the job you did would standout if I could see your truck drive by on the street.

OMFG! I love this. Even if you didnt lower it. Having a clean no frills X just looks boss. Love what you did with it

Thanks guys. I just wanted a simple clean looking expedition. I loved these trucks ever since they came out. I installed lightning headlights to clean and update the head lights. I'm not installing a lightning style bumper cover. I would love to do a lightning swap to this thing though. Truck corners so much better I can't wait to tow with it when I go to truck truck nationals with the lightning

I clicked on this thread wanting to hate it before I even saw it. But I just can't. Looks pretty good.

Hahaha I don't know why people hate lowering a 4x4. AWD still works and looks good When I had a Subaru Forester. I had that thing so low it would plow snow but made it through deep blizzards. I remember passing a lifted Dodge Ram when he was struggling going up a hill.

Sweet ride!!!
I Was originally going to do this to mine, but opted to lift it. :flamingdevil:

I didn't know switching torsion bars front to back and left and right did anything?
