While driving the other day, the information center in my day went haywire and I received a great deal of messages I had to cycle through. Shortly after, Ford Pass sent me 5 notifications:

- Hill start assist fault
- Hill descent system fault
- antilock brake fault
- powertrain system fault
- collision sensor fault

Now every time I start the car, I get the following messages in the dash, in this order:

- See manual
- Hill descent control fault
- Hill start assist not available
- Check electronic slip differential
- Pre collision assist not available
- Service advance trac
- Park aid fault
- Memory recall not available while driving (even though I wasn't attempting to change the memory position, and it prevents use of the memory buttons whenever the car is running, whether in gear or not)

Also, there are no messages about these items, but these symptoms also popped up at the same time:

No power steering
No cruise control
No electronic park brake
No ABS
No park assist
Cannot select drive mode (sometimes)
Vehicle body icon in middle of screen when slowing down and stopping (usually indicative of a body sensor being off)

Obviously all these items didn't fail all at once, and these are the result of the car disabling features as a result of a different underlying issue. For example, when there are issues with the electronic brake, cruise control gets disabled. But what could have happened that would make all these features shut down all at once?

Just wondering if anyone's seen it before.

You didn’t post the year, make or model of your vehicle - and the mileage.

But I’d bet you have a defective battery and/or loose or corroded battery terminal connectors.

What did you see when you pulled the codes in Forscan? Who put in the new engine?

99WhiteC5Coupe knows what he's talking about. You have a power problem somewhere. Bad battery, connection, terminal or ground. Since the engine was out, check all the connectors that are involved.
Nothing to do with the new engine. I got the codes checked yesterday and every one of these items had a code that said it was getting a bad reading from either the speed sensor or the abs. Both of which are in wheel hub. I already know my rear left wheel hub is in terrible condition and is scheduled to be replaced tomorrow. Once that is done all of these issues will go away.

I just noticed that almost the exact same thing happened to somebody else on these boards when he did a lift kit.
