Muffler 'hair' ?!?

Ive go something coming out of my 2015 Limited's exhaust. It seems like fiberglass, but is shaded like hair and ....is someone stuffing hair extensions in my exhaust? Is there stranded fiberglass in the mussler?

Your muffler is failing internally. The strands are sound deadening material that is dislodged and being blown out the exhaust pipe.

Dread locks? I know it sucked but it was there and had to be used. lol

curious as to how dread locks and fiberglass corelate with each other and why it had to be used?
