I recently purchased a 2015 Expedition EL I am VERY excited about. So excited that I bought a Sync3 unit for it before I even took delivery of the car. The head unit is mostly working, but I have no steering wheel or HVAC controls from the display. I was able to add the icons for seat heat/cool but its not actually sending out the signals. From my research this is likely due to the switch network settings in the first field in APIM. Does anyone know what settings I should use (or where I can look up) the correct values for a 2015 Expedition EL with the 202A package? My vehicle is a 2015 and my HU is a 2016. I found the tables from the F150 guys, and from what I gather as expy we are supposed to use F150 values for '14? Thanks so much for the help!

Got it working.

Procedure is:
Go to https://www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt and get your factory codes.
Use the table (livinitup etc) from sync2 to check the meaning of your settings.
Find the matching values in the sync3 table and set using forscan.
Set one block at a time to make sure you aren't breaking anything.

NOTE: The seat heaters DO NOT work unless the engine is running.....so don't spend 30 min troubleshooting to find out your settings were right all along....

Can confirm a Sync3 unit from 2016 Escape is working perfectly in my 2015 Expedition. Ebay score for under $100.

Follow up. You may need to allow the system to reset a few times before all the settings start to work. I couldn't get my EQ/fader to respond and was going to reset the system. Turns out I just needed to walk away for long enough that the Infotainment fully power cycled. I came back to the truck after an hour and everything worked perfectly. Thanks to @LokiWolf for all the info on Forscan. I now have my 2015 updated to feel as modern as I need.

@tango Nice work and documentation! Hopefully this helps somebody else too! Glad I could help! You should create a seperate thread with just your Info, so it can be searched easier in the future.
