Hello, I am new to this forum, but not new to forum.
I bought at 2008 ford expedition xlt 4x4 about a month ago. The first owner was the forest service think although a title search has not been done. I has skid plates to protect the engine and transmission. Lanoliam floors make cleaning easy. Aquired for 7500 with 130xxx miles
New brakes, rotors and fluid. About 800 out the door for parts and Labor
New cooper 8 ply Cooper tires and TPS. Price was 1520.
Used OEM rims, 300. Had to drive 40 miles round trim to go get them. Did not come with center caps. I wanted these becuase I need more sidewall as I plan on doing towing with it.
New transmission dip stick, i did not know that this transmission came with a dip stick, an upgrade from an 05 ford explorer.
Trasfer case seal was getting rotten and seping fluid. Fluid and seal replaceed
Work that still needs to be done.
Rear diff fluid
Front diff fluid
Power steering fluid
Upgrades to do in the future
1. Warn bumper with electric winch.
2. Rear bumper with winch or a winch that can be put into the 2 inch receiver.
3. Ham radio
4. Fire department radio
A lot of the driving that I do is local. In fair weather, I drive about once a week since I got an electric bike about 9 months ago. The bike has saved me a lot of money. I do handy man work on the side, dump runs and fire wood.
