I just joined last night but have been checking out the forum for a while and it seems pretty informative. I bought a 2000 Expedition EB in Feb 2007. It only had 43k miles on it and I know the guy that had it for the past few years. He got it with 20k on it and had been in contact with the previous owner. So far the truck is doing what I need it to do. My wife delivers some papers with it and I needed to tow a boat with it. I came from driving a 97 Jeep TJ and a 00 Cherokee (XJ) for the past 10 years. This vehicle is much bigger than those Jeeps.

I do have a problem with the drivers heated seat which I guess is pretty common. The tires were cupped when I bought it and I knew it. When I went to get the new ones the lower ball joints were shot. They were replaced and I put new tires on it. We put 10k miles on it in the past 5 months and it has performed well.

I towed the boat a few times. One time about 100 miles to have some work done and it did OK. The total package weighs about 5klbs. It definitely does better than that Cherokee did. I would 4 wheel slide going down the ramp with it and my fathers old Explorer Sport. It doesn't seem to be overly powerful though towing the boat.

Site looks very informative. BTW I never received a confirmation e-mail like I thought I was going to receive. Will I get one?

Hi I am Kym i just joined last night also hoping this site will help me out with problems i am having the last couple weeks. I am 39 mother of one and step mother to many. do not feel bad i didnt receive a email either to confirm. well thank you for welcoming me to your site and welcome to all the newbies with me.

There is no way you can post or threads unless you did in fact get the validation email... Reason for this is that it helps me fight off some off the spam by having it set this way.

Just want you guys to know that this is setup this way for ANY new registrations that come in. I log in review the profile, and if it seems legitimate, i will send the valid email link and switch your account to registered.

I don't think I received one. I read the post above and then this one but am confused. Are you saying that it is now set up and we didn't receive one but if I signed up right now I would?

It looks like my account is working ok though.

The only way you can make a thread or post, is through the validation link i send out when i review new registrations. Once that gets sent out, i switch your status from pending to registered.
