New to me 2016 Limited towed to the dealer twice in the first month of ownership. Bad luck or bigger problem?

I purchased this 2016 expedition Limited from a local Ford dealership. It was certified preowned Ford blue advantage and I got it with a warranty because it had exactly 100,000 miles. Two times in the past three weeks of ownership I’ve had spark plugs crack. The first time Ford replaced only that one plug even though I think they should have replaced all of them at that time. not even two weeks later on acceleration again , two more spark plugs failed and to my knowledge, it shuts down the cylinders both times I pulled right over and towed it to the dealer.
Now , I know that at the mileage that it’s at it was time to get the spark plugs changed, and I had planned on doing that. Unfortunately, for me, I experienced failures before I could do the preventative maintenance.
Now that I got the truck back, it’s driving really good. It is a really clean truck and aside from the spark plugs which again , I think they should have just changed all of them The first time I had it towed in. I have not experienced any other issues with it and I really enjoy it. It Is driving much better now with a full new set of spark plugs.

It amazes me with all these Dealer Certified Programs, which state "the vehicle has been through our exhaustive *** point inspection" that they don't check or do squat to the vehicle, just slap the certified sticker on it and put it on the lot, hoping (or playing the averages) that nothing does wrong.

To specifically answer your question, who knows what else might be coming up as they certainly did not check anything. Have a (good) independent mechanic check it over top to bottom.

It's just marketing and a bunch of BS.

Seems normal to me. My 2016 Limited 2WD has 114k miles. Bought it with 60k miles, and have replaced all fluids, plugs twice, water pump, belt, a few sensors, bulbs, rear blend door, and a transmission solenoid. My frustrations are now that wire harness connectors have become brittle and tend to break. So a simple headlight bulb replacement becomes a small project. If I did not do my own maintenance and repairs, I would probably trade it for a newer vehicle.

Crazy I would be more worried about paint peeling off the tailgate and hood. I have a 16 max ltd and I hate the paint peeling it looks like shit.

But for me I had to change the plugs at 64k Iam at 94k now and dreading something is going to fail on me soon. Then boom it feels like the vacuum hoses are failing.
But overall I have driven this truck across Canada 7 times with no major issues other than the plugs and I had to replace my transfer case at 45k miles but that was under warranty.

I would personally run the codes and see if there are any faults, I use a OBDLink adapter and forScan among other software that works as well, and get a good idea what else you could be running into. my Truck has over 200,000 miles on it, but Original owner changed the oil among other things every 3000 miles and the engine and the body almost looks like showroom quality. I did run the codes, the only fault I had was the keypad, Rebooted the JB box, and fixed that issue.. the reason for the issue was because the battery was replaced and it caused an issue with that.. So to save your self some cash, get something to read the codes your self and that way you can get a good idea what needs to be done.
